What is an LMFA Traveling Tribe Workshop?

These are the same award winning abstract art workshops covering Lisa’s signature 6 step process to create meaningful abstract art with oil and cold wax.

However, as she explores new locations for inspiration and future workshops, a small group of participants are invited to join her at a greatly reduced rate.

 

This year, I am looking forward to witnessing the almond blossom season in Majorca. And as such, I am pleased to announce a workshop opportunity at La Serrania in Mallorca, Spain, March 7-14, 2026.

LA SERRANÍA IS A RETREAT CENTER IN THE FOOTHILLS OF THE SERRA DE TRAMUNTANA MOUNTAINS IN NORTHERN MALLORCA. Did you know that more than four million almond trees can be found across Mallorca? The island’s microclimate creates the perfect conditions for almond blossom to flourish. In Spring, the dusty rose petals against the cerulean sky, is something out of a fairy tale, and I cant wait to see how this inspiring landscape influences our art.

  • Engulfed by ancient oaks and olive groves and built on limestone, the retreat center’s architecturally serene buildings blend seamlessly into the soulful Mediterranean setting.

The goal of these retreats is to CONNECT, be INSPIRED, and learn. As such these exploratory retreats are offered at a greatly reduced rate. It’s my way of giving back and spreading more love and joy through art.

Accommodation is either shared or single room.

Discover Lisa’s award-winning method for teaching abstract art with oil and cold wax — a process that combines freedom, play, and strong foundations.
Mornings are devoted to rich instruction: exploring principles of art, techniques for oil and cold wax, and creative exercises that push your boundaries. Afternoons are your time to dive in — developing your own artistic voice with Lisa’s hands-on guidance and support.
This retreat isn’t only about making art. We’ll also enjoy the beauty around us — exploring the local area, soaking in inspiration, and giving ourselves the chance to rest, recharge, and be pampered.
