Using the landscape as our guide, and the paint and colors as or tools, we will dig deep into blue, marvel at pink, exhault in the shades of white
I'll guide you step by step to paint on an intuitive level, creating glorious works in oil and cold wax medium.
We will start at the very beginning. From total beginners to more advanced painters- all are welcome, and will learn from this rich experience as we dive deep into abstract painting.
Who Am I?
My name is Lisa Mann, and I am the founder of Lisa Mann Fine Art and Gap Year for Grown-ups
The Studio
Based just outside of the ancient village of Vivlos on the Greek Island of Naxos...you are in for a treat - for your eyes and soul.

Whats included:
- 5 days of glorious abstract art instruction at Lisa's studio in Naxos.
- Lots of individual attention as there will be a maximum of 5 students at this intimate and personal workshop!
- Daily lessons and demonstrations on the tools and techniques to create art with oil and cold wax for all levels.
- Lunch is provided poolside by local chefs.

- Tools, materials, surfaces
- Understanding stages of dryness and techniques to use
- Adding layers and texture
- Brayer techniques and veil of color
- Mark-making for structure and expression
- Stencils, creating shapes, and dividing space
- How to incorporate Lisas 6 rhythms of creativity and her creativity blueprint into your work for glorious results
Suggestions for optional excursions include:
- Sunset sails in the aegean
- Morning yoga overlooking the ocean
- Trips to secluded beaches
- Ancient cobblestones mountain villages,
- Mountainside walks for inspiration.

Getting to Naxos, Greece
Naxos is an island within the cyclades region. It is easily accessible by ferry ( a 3-5 hour easy ferry ride from Athens), or by plane( 1/2 flight from Athens). I will absolutely help you understand your options for travel once you enroll:)
Accommodation
Accommodation is NOT included in the price of the workshop. Naxos has a variety of accommodations, from camping to luxury hotels. The studio is in the small and local village of Vivlos.
