In this 3 day intensive and interactive workshop Lisa will introduce the process of using oil and cold wax to create meaningful paintings through layering , textures, color, and visual storytelling.
Utilizing oil paints, cold wax medium, pigment sticks, and a variety of tools for texture and collage, both emerging, experienced, and undiscovered artists will explore new ways to create paintings.
In addition to the techniques of working in oils and cold wax medium, we will also cover the fundamentals of abstract art elements to help you evaluate your work.
3-6 students per class, 3 person minimum registration or class will be rescheduled.
Why are Lisa's classes different?
Lisa's approach is intuitive, accepting, and playful. Often times folks remark that it is a process that feels healing to create paintings with her. There will be attention given not only to the techniques of creating a piece of abstract art with Oil and Cold Wax, but also a fair amount devoted to the art of feeling free to create, and building courage to share your visual stories.
This class is open to all experience levels. It is perfect for beginners and experienced artists that want to learn to create with Oil and Cold Wax.
